Establish training schedule

Prior to the new DR Systems Unity RIS/PACS installation, you will be contacted by the DR Systems Applications Specialist assigned to your site to establish a training program and schedule. The DR Systems training program covers all users at your imaging enterprise, front desk, technologists, radiologists, transcriptionists, back office, system administrator, and IT. Training is provided at DR Systems and on-site prior to and after installation of the DR System Unity RIS/PACS.

The training program is tailored to your facilities unique requirements. DR Systems’ training staff works with the customer to assess the facility’s workflow and apply their knowledge of the Unity RIS/PACS in preparing an effective training program. DR Systems’ training staff suggests ways to optimize the Unity RIS/PACS technology to improve the imaging enterprises workflow efficiency.

Importance of site champion availability and participation

The DR Systems Unity RIS/PACS is a strategic and tactical medical imaging information system tool critical to the clinical and financial success of your business. For that reason, it is imperative that the Site Champions be identified and made available (a radiologist and technologist in most cases) to complete training on all aspects of the system. The Site Champion leader gains intimate knowledge of the Unity RIS/PACS, and take responsibility for system operation, implementation, and communication with DR Systems, and ongoing new employee training.
