As a unified medical image management and information solution, DR Systems provides mechanisms to import any type of image, including digital photographs from Pathology Departments. As a result, an entire patient’s imaging record can be presented on one system for a variety of purposes—for example, a Chest X-ray, Chest CT, Intra-operative photographs, gross pathology photographs, and pathology slide images from the same individual. This may greatly simplify medical conferences, such as tumor board presentations, and remote medical consultation. DR Systems can accept images in DICOM, TIF, GIF, PDF, or JPEG format from a network source or via a portable USB device.
