Clinical Review via EMR

DR Systems Web launch enables access to patient exam reports, images, and voice clips stored on the Unity PACS from any Web-connected EMR computer, terminal, or hand held device. By using DR Web Launch, reading physicians can launch the DR Systems PACS from an EMR (electronic medical records) system or physician portal.  A single user name and password accesses both the EMR or portal and the PACS.

Benefits to Physicians

Physicians using an EMR system can view DR Systems PACS images. They select an exam in their system to view. DR Web Launch starts Web Ambassador, if it is installed. Otherwise, DR Web Launch starts a Web browser to view images. Physicians can do the following for the selected exam:

  • View the images on any hospital or imaging center system or from home or office.
  • View the report.
  • Listen to the voice clip or summary conclusion.
  • If the system launched Web Ambassador, physicians can use an extensive set of viewing tools. For example, adjust the window/level; insert a scout inset; invert, rotate, or fl ip images—and many other viewing tools.
