SAN DIEGO - DR Systems, Inc., the top rated healthcare informatics vendor by KLAS® in 2006, today announced that it has been selected by MedAssets Supply Chain Systems as a Group Buy partner for RIS/PACS (Radiology Information System/Picture Archive and Communications System) with MedAssets customer hospitals.
For a three month period beginning October 1, 2007 and ending December 31, 2007, DR Systems has an exclusive vendor position where it will provide the Unity RIS/ PACS to MedAssets customers with additional pricing incentives and other value-added terms.

MedAssets and DR Systems established a multi-year imaging contract in April 2006 that designated the company as an approved RIS/PACS vendor for MedAssets customers.
The Group Buy partner status will provide MedAssets customers the ability to select from lease-to-own or capital purchase solutions with special pricing to implement a Unity RIS/PACS. Aside from traditional PACS functionality, hospital customers can take advantage of the built-in DR Systems modules such as Web-based scheduling, patient registration and tracking, task management, critical values tracking, document scanning, dictation, voice recognition, transcription, and reporting. This single-graphical user interface/vendor solution reduces IT management, simplifies user training and increases overall application uptime.
