DR Systems Receives Multiple Orders for Dominator™ RIS/PACS
$2 million in contracts continues the company’s imaging center RIS/PACS deployments
SAN DIEGO - March 22, 2005 DR Systems announced today that the company has signed multiple contracts worth over $2 million for the Dominator RIS/PACS with radiology diagnostic imaging centers across the country. Those imaging centers are Baltimore Imaging Centers of Baltimore, Md.; Cedar Valley Radiology, in Waterloo, Iowa; and Desert Valley Radiology, in Phoenix, Az. In addition, Great Neck Imaging of Great Neck, N. Y., a longtime DR Systems customer, has contracted to upgrade its Dominator PACS to the DR Systems RIS/PACS.
"The industry has been racing to deploy a single enterprise wide RIS/PACS solution for some time," said Murray Reicher, M.D., Chairman and cofounder of DR Systems. "Other vendors have generally pursued the pathway of acquiring disparate RIS and PACS companies, and then merging systems and corporate cultures that were never originally designed to operate as an integrated system. By contrast, DR's approach has been to design a tightly integrated RIS/PACS solution in-house, resulting in efficiencies for the healthcare enterprise that only a unified product can provide. DR Systems offers a universal image and information-management solution and has the experience and subspecialty expertise that imaging specialty departments really need."
DR Systems’ RIS/PACS is scalable for the needs of both hospitals and imaging centers. Among other sites that have installed the full RIS/PACS are Scripps Mercy Hospital, San Diego, Calif., and Rockwood Clinic, in Spokane, Wash.
DR Systems was rated the #1 PACS vendor by MD Buyline in their January 2005 Intelligence Report. In addition, the company was ranked #2 by KLAS in their 2004 Top 20 Year End Best in KLAS Community Clinical and Ancillary Solutions Report, and ranked #3 in the 2004 Top 20 Year End Best in KLAS
