Murray A. Reicher, M.D., F.A.C.R.

Chairman of the Board

Dr. Reicher is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist and Fellow of the American College of Radiology.  He is known for his numerous scientific publications, inventions, and presentations in the fields of neuroradiology, musculoskeletal MRI, and health information technologies. In 1992, he co-founded DR Systems, Inc., a leading provider of information and image management solutions for health care enterprises.  In addition to serving as Chairman of DR Systems, he is the co-founder/Chairman of Health Companion, Inc., co-founder/board member of Health Beacons, LLC, and councilor for the California Radiological Society, as well as the past President of Radiology Medical Group, Inc., and past CEO of Imaging Healthcare Specialists, LLC.  Dr. Reicher received his undergraduate degree at UCLA in Biochemistry and his medical degree at UCSD.

Rick Porritt

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Porritt joined DR Systems in May of 1994 as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and was promoted to President and CEO in October of 1994. Prior to DR Systems, Mr. Porritt was at Acuson, a leading manufacturer and service provider of diagnostic medical ultrasound systems (now part of Siemens Medical Solutions). His career at Acuson spanned eleven years from 1983 to 1994, holding positions of Director of Asia Pacific Operations, 1992-1994; Director of European Operations (while residing in Germany), 1988-1992; Director of Canadian Operations/National Accounts Manager, 1986-1988; Regional Sales Manager - Midwest Region, 1983-1986. Prior to Acuson, Mr. Porritt was employed by Philips Medical Systems for seven years in various management positions within the ultrasound division. Mr. Porritt attended Indiana University Medical Center, receiving a degree in the Allied Health Sciences Radiology Program.

Kent Curtis

Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Curtis joined DR Systems in 1994 as Vice President of Product Development, being promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2000. Prior to DR Systems, Mr. Curtis was Vice President of Engineering at Four Pi Systems Corporation, a manufacturer of automated x-ray inspection systems. From 1988 till 1990, Mr. Curtis was Technical Manager, User Interface & Systems Software at Calma -- A Division of Prime Computer, Inc. Previous to Calma, from 1984 to 1988, Mr. Curtis held various engineering positions at General Electric involved with CAD/CAM, robotics, vision systems, and microprocessor-based control systems. Mr. Curtis received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.

Charles Zuckerman

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Zuckerman joined DR Systems as Chief Financial Officer in October 2003. Mr. Zuckerman has transitioned DR Systems from a small to Medium size corporate entity with audited financials and formalized corporate controls and policies. He also assisted in developing the RIS/PACS Exam Index to help document the low cost of ownership of the DR Systems imaging solution. Prior to joining DR Systems, Mr. Zuckerman handled mergers and acquisitions for Merry X-Ray Chemical Corporation, a medical supply company. From 1991 to 1993, Mr. Zuckerman was at Silicon Systems, a computer chip manufacturer.

Ryan Yamatani

Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Mr. Yamatani joined DR Systems in 2009.  Prior to DR Systems, Mr. Yamatani was a senior healthcare leader at EMC Corporation, a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 provider of information infrastructure systems, software and services. An original member of EMC’s healthcare organization, Mr. Yamatani has held various positions managing EMC’s western region and U.S. national healthcare sales execution teams since 1999.  Mr. Yamatani’s most recent role at EMC included responsibility for defining and ensuring the go-to-market field strategy for PACS, HIS, and general IT business functions. Prior to that, Mr. Yamatani was at Data General Corporation for 13 years. His responsibilities there encompassed direct sales, sales management, and business development. He joined EMC when the company acquired Data General.

John Schaefer

Vice President of Customer Service

Mr. Schaefer joined DR Systems' Customer Service Department in 1994. Throughout his years of service, he has held various positions, including Manager of Customer Service, Director of Customer Service, and was most recently promoted to Vice President of Customer Service in 2008. Mr. Schaefer is responsible for new installations, upgrades, applications training, field service, help desk and technical support. He has been involved in the healthcare industry for more than 18 years and in customer service for more than 25 years. Prior to DR Systems, Mr. Schaefer worked for Radiology Management Systems, a RIS Company located in Santa Monica, CA, providing technical support.  Before moving to the healthcare industry, Mr. Schaefer worked in the Information Technology field providing network, desktop, and server support.
