Software Engineer
DR Systems, the leading supplier of medical imaging and information software systems, seeks a Software Engineer to help us take our Medical Imaging Information System products to the next level.
Using Scrum software development methodology, the selected candidate will collaborate with domain experts, a visual/interaction UI designer, and other engineers to create medical imaging and information management application modules. These applications will be integral to the daily workflow of radiologists, technologists, and other health care providers.
Location: San Diego, CA
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop imaging and radiology information system software for Windows XP and Windows 2000 across the LAN, WAN and Internet.
• Define requirements for new and existing product components as well as design and implement for imaging complications, HL7 Interfaces, DICOM, IHE, Web based applications, storage devices, RIS applications.
• Identify product requirements for new software product modules.
• Write software-engineering specifications, which support the previous effort.
• Track results and requirements utilizing DCS as a tracking tool.
• Develop, revise and implement requirement specifications and test plans for new and existing applications addressing feature, workflow, regression and performance testing.
• Follow Operating Procedures/Policies and Programs (SOPs) to meet regulatory quality requirements
• Interact with 3rd party developers and create in-house tests to support 3rd party stability, if applicable
Qualifications:
• 4 year degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation.
• Good analytical and design skills at product level.
• Familiarity with the software development process.
• Good communications and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of C/C++ and object-oriented design techniques.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual C++ a plus.
